4th IMCA (International Multidisciplinary Medical Congress in Albania) in Tirana

The Mediterranean Society of Coloproctology (MSCP) has participated as a Congress Partner at the 4th International Multidisciplinary Medical Congress in Albania (IMCA), from November 15th to 17th, 2018 in Tirana. Manos Pramateftakis MD (Greece) and Xavier Delgadillo MD (Switzerland) both MSCP Board members, where speakers and key lecturers invited by the organizers.
First of all, it is important to mention that Lindita Shosha Mano MD, Organizer President of the Meeting outstandingly prepared the venue, proposed a «fantastique» scientific program, a very warmly social events and welcome. More than 70 outstanding foreign speakers, from 20 countries and almost 2200 local and international participants, from many European, American and Asian countries were present.
The main purpose of the meeting was focused in «Continuous quality improvement in Healthcare and patient’s safety». Contrary to what some attendees specter, recording meeting open plenary session was focused on «Recent trends in minimally-invasive surgery», and the opening was not a matter of "inaugurate" a meeting, that was focused also to describe what should be done at the daily practice of medicine, encouraging all speakers not just to give the word s spoken by individual members instead of a deep message from the heart...! The opening ceremony was bustling with people and the presence of representative of the government offered an extra degree of importance to the event. «What a pleasure to participate in this congress... »
Klodian Allajbeu MD, American Hospital’s CEO, was the engine to promote and sustain the venue and carry out of IMCA , looking forward to explore developments of medicine under the light of a focus of quality, growth and better practice.
Reflecting M. Pramateftakis own feelings about the meeting, it should be underlined, that it was a great pleasure and honor to attend the 4th IMCA, in Tirana Albania. For both MSCP representatives, the organization and the prestige of the event were really impressive, being hosted by a really-modern hotel in the heart of the city.
The participation of members from various specialties was present on any time of the congress. Speakers from various countries of the world gave excellent lectures on state-of-the-art medical advantages and current practices. The round tables on minimally invasive surgery and laparoscopic techniques were particularly interesting for the surgeons who were present, as they included lectures on laparoscopic colorectal surgery, management of bowel diseases and modern approaches to common diseases.
Next November 2019, forces & cooperation will be together between IMCA and MSCP, that will draw particular interest amongst colorectal surgeons of the Balkan and Mediterranean countries in a specific workshop day.
